Does the back hand hold the shape by maintaining pressure backwards on the club with the fingers? Where the fingers in the right hand sort of hold the club back?Reposted Forum moveKeymasterFemgolf1 Jan 03, 2021
Thank you for the quick response. This is why we follow you. You’re as consistent as the result of consistently following your methods and lessons. Very grateful to you Ross.Reposted Forum moveKeymasteralanschulte Jan 29, 2021
Thanks Ross. I sometimes express myself like English is my second language.Reposted Forum moveKeymasteralanschulte Jan 28, 2021

I don’t think I explained that well. The forearms and elbows hold the ball during the swing so they don’t come apart and remain a constant distance apart during the swing. I saw this during a Zurich commercial during the last tour event. I presume they are one of Rose’s sponsors.Reposted Forum moveKeymasterFemgolf1 Jan 30, 2021
Thanks for your usual prompt response. I now have the confidence to continue with what I am doing. Preset impact grip, Shoulders alone backswing with ELBOWS pinching and when the SHOULDERS are done…, ROTATE through to FINISH. It has been working well and making me happy. We golfers always want to experiment with ideas. With Dupplessis method I am done and satisfied. Thanks for being there for us all of the time.Reposted Forum moveKeymasteralanschulte Feb 09, 2021
Thanks Ross. I also discovered that Stricker’s coach is his father in law who was or maybe still is the golf coach at the University of Wisconsin and is a follower of Carl Lohren. Steve’s coach is a fan of the Lee Trevino shoulder move as is Carl Lohren. You explanation nailed it.Reposted Forum moveKeymasterMatt Feb 16, 2021
Ross,Thank you for your timely response. The shoulder down/up method incorporated in your putting/wedges is a very simplistic cue for me and I have found it very applicable. Is there any reason why this cannot be used in the full swing dynamics. I know your method employs the left shoulder down when taking the club back, but how about the left shoulder up when using the hips/body to rotate, or will this keep you from rotating around to the left?…..Or are we getting too technical here??
I have paid particular attention to your set up as it seems to be somewhat different than orthodox/conventional teaching methods. To me, I am just now understanding how the shaft inline with the front arm is REALLY supposed to be. It is more than just a slight forward press. When keeping your head stationary/back, the feel for ME is that the club is in front of my lead foot. You seem to almost bow your left wrist toward the target and pressed further away from your head…Almost like you are trying to extend your hands away from the rest of your body. Also notice that your trail foot is almost leaning toward the target to keep you stable and from sliding. Do you feel that the hips lead the arms and hands in the downswing or that the body/hands and arms kind of go together as you make downswing transition?
Thanks in advance,
Matt

I agree with both of you, I started with clock method to learn different distances with SW , then expanded it to PW, GW, even longer clubs. But if you play a lot, or do lots of reps, you develop feel and really stop thinking about it, your brain just knows (its not always right lol). I think both work, or can work together. Look at Seve, Tiger, Justin Thomas, Patrick Reed, very creative, different styles, but so good. My practice formula is equal time long game, short game, putting. The last 2 can compensate or compliment your ballstriking on a particular day.Reposted Forum moveKeymasterFemgolf1 Mar 24
Yes!! I am happy with the absolute and emphatic NO. I have been using my body ROTATION since I started with your method and have been having great outcomes. This has restored my confidence to do more of what I have been doing and trust it more. These are viruses that want to infect your success!!!. I am soo grateful with the timely and prompt response. You’re an absolute genius. The rhythm..@..shoulder….hips …once your face comes back in the preshot routine is magical too. Makes distance control easier and near perfect. Thanks Ross.Reposted Forum moveKeymasterupsman Feb 20
I agree with Ross, if I flip its because I’ve stopped my turn, the hands catch up and I flip. As far as wrists I use a flat left wrist and my right wrist is angled back a little (for off the ground shots), when I make contact the club has slightly less loft and I think it helps my ball first contact (like I’m pinching the ball and then ground), but honestly getting the turn right is so important.Reposted Forum moveKeymasterFemgolf1 Feb 19
Thank you. You’re absolutely correct. I have not been completing my ROTATION lately. I tried as much as possible to remove the HITTING INSTINCT on the DOWNSWING and as I journeyed through the flipping disappeared . The bowing also helped to prevent the WRISTS from breaking down in the DOWNSWING. I was actually struggling to increase the backswing for want of distance and the TEMPLATE was breaking down with the HITTING INSTINCT. I enjoyed my round today. Thanks for always being there.Reposted Forum moveKeymasterDan Mar 23, 2021
